Urban Life in China vs. Rural Life in China
According to the research by the NBS( National Bureau of Statistics) of China, in the past decade during 2002 to 2011, the proportion of urban population had increased by 12.18 percent because of migration from countryside to city. To analyze this phenomenon, we can make a comparison between urban life and rural life in China.
The level of urban consumption is much more higher than the level in countryside. In countrysides, people buy necessities only for basic needs. But people who live in cities often consider more about brands and qualities before they pay for those necessities. Besides, some urban citizens like chasing luxuries to show off their superiority while rural villages don’t. These conditions decide the disparity in the level of consumption between city and countryside.
In aspect of transportation, owing to the urban construction, more bridges are built and more streets are paved. So the transportation in city become more convenient than it is in countryside. But apparently the empty land in city is less than it is in countryside and the number of cars is much more bigger in city, which may lead to some traffic problems, such as congestion.
The difference in education is much more clear. Most parents in city will choose to send their children to universities.But in countryside, most parents think that it is unnecessary to get their kids better education, because each rural family needs labor to maintain their efficiency of farming.
Now by these comparisons in three different aspects, we can see it clearly why there are so many migrants from countryside to city each year. Urban life is more convenient and high-qualitative. Rural adolescent villages can get higher education in city if they want to. Considering about advantages and disadvantages of both two areas, maybe in China, urban life is a better chose for future.

The level of urban consumption is much more higher than the level in countryside. 后面用that of替换。这句后面的解释并不是最主要的原因吧，应该还是经济发展水平和人均收入决定了消费水平，至于消费观是之后的事情吧。 empty land in city这个比较不是太准确，我想这里应该指空地吧，但乡村不是空地吧，也有很多是耕地。这部分讲交通，那么可以说Public transportation and private cars, highways and fastroads, all make the daily commute more convenient and efficient for city residents.The difference in education is much more clear.教育方面也只是谈了人们的观点，比如教育设施，师资这些方面的比较也应该讲一下。
