Me in the eyes of others
I am a little bird. A bird, which always lived in the forest; a bird which was always very happy and never knew what is grief; a bird which never left its parents but longed desperately to fly to the arms of the nature; a bird which eager to know what it appears to others.
Mom and dad always told me that I was the nicest and best bird in the world as well as in their eyes, and I also believed it until that day. Mom always said I was a sensible child because never cried nor made any trouble while they looked for food outside. That day, I remembered, the weather was very fine and I bided at our nest and waited my parents while both of them were gone out. Suddenly, a loud sound attracted my notice; I looked around to find what on earth made that sound. Stupefied by seeing what I had seen--- a huge bird that soared the skies. How huge the bird was! How high it flied! Thereafter, I realized that I just the best bird in my parents’ eyes but not the best in the world and realized that if I wanted to know better about myself I must go out. Thus when my parents came back I told them my decision. They agreed though couldn’t bear to it. From that day, I learned how to forage for food and how to fly. Mom told me that the world was full of dangerous and must pay more attention to them when I left home, left them. I headed out with the curiosity to the world.
With a buoyant mood, I flied over many places and made a lot of new friends. They asked me why I can always be happy and I would just smile at that time. They also loved to play with me because I was kind-hearted and always forward with help. One time, when I flied over a forest I saw several human beings were doing some things. Curiously, I stopped and listened what they talking. To my shock, I realized they wanted to hunt the elephants. “I must tell the elephants about the bad news. “Then I flied away and found the elephants, soon I found them at the bank of a river and flied to them told them the news. They avoided a tragedy because of my news, and then we became good friends. There were also many times I was narrowly being killed. Once, I was drinking water by a river, suddenly, I realized the dangerous for some reason. I flied away at once, and I saw a man was shooting me with his gun. Believe me, if I flied away later, even one second, you won’t see me now. After so many things I understand one thing clearly: the world is beautiful and charming, but also full of dangerous at the same time.
In my parents eyes, I’m the best and nicest bird in the word; in my friends eyes, I’m happy, kind-hearted and always forward with help; in those hunters eyes, maybe I’m a bad and abhorrent guy. However others look at me, I know clearly that’s me, real me!
