Walk in shadow
受到某人保护;be protected by someone
E.g: I decided long ago never to walk in anyone’s shadow.
Exercise: I don’t want to walk in my parent’s shadow all my life.

Snafu
无计可施的状态; disorder;difficult position
E.g: He even has shown humility by apologizing for mapping snafu.
Exercise: Because of his carelessness, we all got into snafu on the top of the mountain.

Butt in
插嘴,干涉;to interrupt; to put in a word; to interfere
E.g: Sorry to butt in, but did you say there was a football match yesterday evening?
Exercise: They argued too hotly to let me butt in.

Fathom out
理解,弄明白;to figure out; to understand
E.g: He couldn't fathom out what the man could possibly mean.
Exercise: I just couldn’t fathom out his intention.

Fumble
摸索,笨手笨脚地做;to bungle; to grope
E.g: ***s would fumble in the dark, investors would waste money and electorates would struggle to hold their political leaders to account.
Exercise: Sometimes we have to fumble by ourselves in order to gain our own experiences.
