My hometown
I came from a small town and I grew up with her for more than 20 years. The past years have witnessed great changes which are like dynamic pictures emerging before my eyes.

The most obvious changes come with the development of the economy. When I came out into the street, the first things came into my eyes are the advertising boards and shops instead of resident people, I saw the changes. When I walked on the street, the smell of various kinds of food flew into my nose as different people passed by, I smelled the changes. When I was getting back home, the sounds of horns which are like a naughty boy’s tricks, occasionally broke the music coming from shops, I heard the changes.

The development of my hometown impresses me. However, it is familiarity that I have a great affection for her. When I saw the changes, I also saw the unchangeable smile on people’s face. When I smelled the changes, I also smelled the same enthusiasm for life. When I heard changes, I also heard people’s common wish for a better future.

I love my hometown for what it was. I also love my hometown for what it is.
