My home
My house covers an area of over 100 square meters. While the house price are still soaring up, it is not uncommon in countryside.
Opening the door, you can see nothing but a bare wall, which is the western side my parents’ bedroom. On your left hand, there lies a tall shoes cabinet stuffed by high-heeled shoes and sundries. Back of the cabinet are two bathrooms.
Half of my house are made up of three bedrooms and a kitchen. They adjoined to each other one by one, starting from my parents’ bedroom and ending with the kitchen where we cook and dine. In front of my bedroom is a study. However, it is the last suitable place to study. Sitting here, you will be either annoyed by the door bell or tempted by noise of TV. Beside the study is a living room. It is the most spacious part, with TV set, torch-like sound boxes, gray sofa, glass teapoy and slippers scattered about on the floor. The only decoration on the wall is a golden wall clock above the sofa. Small as it is, the clock maks the living room a kind of splendid. Outside the living room is a long balcony, where the sunlight forgets to visit. As a result, we have to put garments out in sun from floor three to floor eight , the top floor.
Out of health concern, we chose wall paper rather than methanal-ridden paint to cover the wall. We pasted the wall paper all by ourselves. A taxing task! With light tiny flowers pattern, the wall looks quite good at first glimpse. But once you take a close look, you will be disappointed for finding a film of mould breeding there. Owning to the moist climate, the wall paper became the hot bed of mildew.
