My hometown
My hometown is Fenghuang in Hunan province. It’s an ancient city characterized by ethic features and modern atmosphere. Every time I think of my hometown, a clear, peaceful river comes into my mind. The river named Tuojiang is the mother river of this small remote town. Staying by the river all the day, you’ll have a clear picture about people’s life here.
In the morning, when the first sunlight strikes the clouds, you can hear the slivery whistling by the boatmen, who is dredging up waterweeds from the river. It’s a kind of food for chicken and duck. After a while, young girls of Miao or Tujia nationalities wearing their pack basket come to the side of Tuojiang to do their laundries. They talk about their families or sometimes some gossips between girls.
In the noon, local people are busy in their work while tourist will swarm into and seize this area. Walking on the bank of Tuojiang or staying in a boat enjoying the breezing is a wonderful thing especially in spring. The ethic buildings named Diaojiaolou which line neatly along the bank of Tuojiang were exposed in the sunlight. With high roll under the house, people can live much higher than the river in case the level of river will increase after raining.
In the afternoon, local people walk on the sides of the river to rest after had their dinner. Gradually, the dark is coming. The light on one by one and it enter another totally different colorful world. The music of rock will last until 12 o’clock. Young people indulge in alcohol and crazy dances, which totally different from what they are in the day.
My hometown is such a mysterious city. One of my friend comments it as “a mysterious lady” since it’s looks like a pure girl in the day while a flirtatious woman in the night.

以河为主线，描写一天的场景，很好的思路，描写的也很细致，但一些搭配还是有些问题比如the whistle of the boatmen, be busy with, carry to，at noon, be lined等等，有些时态也不一致，语法还是要加强啊。内容还可以再丰富些，加入些具体的描写或者使用一些生动的形容词副词。
