No one knew how it happened. It seemed that the time-travelling machine transported me to a deserted, overwhelmingly-grey valley, or a waterproof valley. A stripe of dreary grey cloth blinded my eyes, confusing me with a big question mark---whether I was forgot behind in an unknown corner of the universe. My senses gradually froze except the tremendously large and red sun overhead was prickling me, pulling me back to life. The enormous furnace was absorbing the water within my body so greedily that my perspiration slid down the spine, my lips cracked, my allium-white tongue licking hazily the little-remained spittle. Along the valley were continuously far-reaching mountains of a hundreds-of-feet height which reflected the violent glare of the sunshine. When I lifted my heavy eyelids, trying to catch a hint of where I was deadly from the sky, the overriding cloudlessness reminded me of a lid of a saucepan where I was boiled to death. I staggered loosely as my brain almost ceased working, completely opposite to my striding forward at the beginning, positively eager to find the way out. My struggle of the long and exhausting journey was not an accidental joke of the time-machine but a vicious result of my being stubborn.
It was one day during the summer vacation when I persisted on walking through a long journey to my grandmother’s house in spite of the baking weather. Voices of an insensible outing at one clock were rejected by my overoptimistic persistence. Then I sent out. Indeed, the endurance of my flesh and blood was overestimated and the crudity of the nature underestimated. My foolish judge! In the first place, I took it as a challenge of my strength; a quarter later, I got nowhere but admitted it was a torture at my will; after half an hour, I was on the edge of desperation and collapse. I knew apparently another half of the journey was waiting for me ahead. I must reestablish my confidence to pull through the unfinished or felt faint, falling to death. Life is vulnerable but also of vigor and vitality. Then I trotted, firmly.
My insistence decreased my lethargy but speeded my pace. The heat was still boiling but not necessarily so intolerable. A chunk of cloud floated itself slowly but patiently towards the red-hot ass. The cloud’s wavering divulged the original soft blue color of the sky, company with a stream of warm but precious air. The wall of mountains took off the glary cover, revealing its light grey glaze with flecks of black. The exit of the evil valley gradually loomed ahead my sight. I knew I arrived.

forgot behind还是left behind?好像enormous修饰furnace不是很合适吧,glazing, glowing, roaring会好些。
