My home town
I come from Cangzhou, Hebei province. I would like to describe my hometown as a medium sized city, a mild city.
It is not a large city with many shiny skyscrapers, as well as with those noise and fake things behind the glamorous su***ces. It is not a remote city that is not developed, explored, with lacks of many basic amenities.
Its character is also like its scale: mild and gentle. It has four distinct seasons – winter there can be cold, sometimes snowy, which will not let the people here get departed from winter’s charm, while, it’s not a world full of ice and snow every day which make you trembling. Summer there can be hot, when the sun shine directly there would be people with flushed cheeks. However, it won't let you feel unbearable like a sauna.
There is a peculiar northerner’s direct and straightforward, but not too rude, which makes people feel offended. The geographical position is not that particularly outstanding. But located at the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal line, near the capital, the traffic of the city is very convenient. Character of the people living there are like the character of itself: neither aggressive, neither cowardice.
Last but not the least, it’s essential to talk about its main geographical and economical features: surrounding Beijing and Tianjin, embracing Bohai, with its famous golden-silk jujube, superb martial arts, leading foundry industry.
There is no doubt that I love my hometown. This love is gentle, it is not to be hang in the mouth like hot heads, it is not unresponsive that can be easily deserted. It's violet, ever and again lingering in my mind.
