短短几行，里面却有很多好玩的地方，前面两句让我想起了在英国酒吧几乎是每个人必去的地方，不仅仅因为英国人喜好啤酒，也因为它体现了英国传统社会和英国人之间的含蓄的凝聚力，在酒吧里可以把酒言欢，难怪英国人称酒吧为“publichouse”。以前酒吧好像晚上11点就关门了，据说战争时期，不少工人因贪杯而耽误了次日的炮弹生产，致使国家蒙受损失，议会遂制定法律以限制酒吧的营业时间，不过好像现在禁令被取消了。英国啤酒杯又高又大，容量大都是一品脱，一杯差不多就可以装一瓶啤酒，三瓶也不少了，何况是在午饭前。“you should send that in to the Reader's Digest.
