Social networking services--a double-bladed sword

A social networking service is an online service, platform, or site that focuses on facilitating the building of social networks or social relations among people. Nowadays,with the development of technology and our society,people prefer to make friends and communicate with others by qq,msn,blog or facebook.However,the social networking service is like a double-bladed sword, pros and cons come together.
One hand,social networking services help shorten the distance between strangers and open the mind of them to others.It serves as a convenient and direct tool.People can make friends with all walks of people and timely know their recent situation.They regard social networking services as a platform to share their ideas,photos,interests,activities,backgrounds,or even real-life connections with net friends all over the world.What's more,in the modern society, people are more indifferent to each other than before,and even neighbors do not know about each other.At the same time,social networking services enrich our life and broaden our horizon as contents are written and delivered at speed.Because of social networking services,our society will be full of the milk of human kindness and will become harmonious.
On the other hand,people's intimate personal details will be exposed unintentionally while using social networking services.Many people,especially young adults,share everything with their net friends without thinking of consequences.Our information exposed on the network may become a potential danger or lead to some unnecessary troubles.In addition,some young adults are so open that they even show some insalubrious information about themselves on the internet and take it for granted.This will not only make others uncomfortable and startled but also have a bad influence on the whole atmosphere of the internet.In my pinion,it is an impolite behavior that will give others a bad impression on them.
In conclusion,social networking services have both advantages and disadvantages.In order to establish the good atmosphere,we should avoid sharing private information on the internet and make great efforts to make a good use of it at the same time.
