Social network has a far-reaching impact on this era when civilians, especially younger generation, are all unquestionably involved. Merits as SNS has, its drawbacks do exit.
Social network alters the way individuals express themselves. Unlike traditional method people utilize to release their emotion, social network requires people to condense their colorful feelings into 140 words, which enhances efficiency but gives birth to the flighty mind as well. As stories of 140 words prevail, patience gradually dispels. Currently, the number of readers that classical masterpieces can attract suffers a dramatic decline because of their formidable length. Thus, folks acknowledge what social network has is not only beneficial effects, but also detrimental effects which sometimes lead human to the condition they don’t favor.
Social network overthrows the traditional value of privacy. It is a common sense that everyone has the desire to be distinctive. Unfortunately, younger generation seemingly misunderstand the true meaning of being the special one. They believe that astonishing fact can assist them to gain favor, and thus, they publish information considered as privacy on SNS to announce their uniqueness without examining the dangers it may bring. Privacy now isn’t possessed by intimate friends or families anymore because they can be referred in public as an out-dated taboo. Accordingly, traditional value is spoiled.
