To be frank, my dormitory is far from satisfactory at first sight. It's a tedious room with quite limited space and unbearable humidity which can barely live up to our reasonable expectation. To make things worse, it’s one of the only two rooms that are facing north instead of south on each floor of our dormitory building, which means my roommates and I have to tolerate more annoying heat brought about by scorching sun in the burning summer while enjoying far less opportunities to feel and smell the warm sunshine in the chilling winter. What we could do when we encountered such a room for the first time was to sympathize with ourselves and pray for our luck. However, this small room has standed the test of time. There is a Chinese saying going like that: small as the sparrow, it is fully-equipped. My dormitory fits the description well. It is not spacious enough but at least it has an independent shower room which makes it convenient for us to take a shower. Of course the little dorm also provides each of us with an independent desk and isolated wardrobe and cupboards to settle our various kinds of belongings. Despite some inevitable defects, my dormitory is student-friendly in its design.
