There was once a meaningful film whose name I’ve forgotten, in which four people were asked about the character and lifestyle of a woman who had been murdered. They all had known her quite well but each of them demonstrated a different face of her. As far as I am concerned, the interest of this film was no longer in who had committed the murder, but in how it showed the way in which we all show different sides of ourselves to different people. Then back to today’s topic “Me in the Eyes of Other People”, I’ve asked several people about their opinions of me. Some of the comments help me establish a sense of confidence, for I know I do have some good qualities which make a nice friend in life; while other comments are out of my surprise and thus I get a clear understanding of myself.
Most of my friends and classmates consider me as a sincere, frank and warm-hearted girl. I respect my teachers and unite the classmates, with whom I get along well harmoniously. As the helper of teachers, I do my duty devotedly, which satisfies both the teachers and the class greatly. But the sad truth is that I’m so responsible that certain student misread my work as executing the teachers’ commands unconditionally! Well, I admit that I’m pertinacious from time to time but I can’t help trying to defend myself that I’ll in no circumstance go against the principles I adhere to.
“You are a easy-going, friendly young lady with a casual attitudes towards life.” One of my friends appraised me the first time we met. I’m trying hard to make people around me relaxed so I often wear a benignant smile. Alas, probably because I seem so happy that nobody take to heart when I am moody as if I was born to get away from sadness.
So exuberant I am when someone praises my cooking! I’m not boasting about my cooking skills yet I do have a good head for cooking and love to create new dishes (though some of my claim that I experiment with food promiscuously), delicious dishes especially sweet food are my favorite. That’s why I’m always so cheerful. Sweet brings sheer joy and if one want to be merry, just eat some dessert! Never had I missed a meal because of being gloomy since I strongly believe that “I am so important” and I should love myself (my body) no matter in what circumstance.
It’s my greatest pleasure to think the question in a book which is pregnant with meaning and later on share and discuss with my fellow classmates. So contemporaries do have something in common. But many of them can’t understand why I like military man so much just as I fail to understand why so many girls love the stars dressing flowery clothes showing on television. What’s more, I’m regarded as someone who was born during the 1970s or 1980s owing to the fact that I prefer lots of things emerging during the last century. For instance, the lifestyle and the models (Leslie Chueng, etc). And my friends constantly crack a joke over my preference. Well, at that time, I truly realize what is called the “generation gap”.

Most of my friends and classmates consider me as ... (这里应当不用as),misread my work as executing the teachers' commands unconditionally (我可能会用putting words into a puppet' mouth这样的表达吧),You are a easy-going ... (冠词错误),probably because I seem so happy that nobody take to heart when I am moody as if I was born to get away from sadness (这句话有点偏中式,下一段转到cooking也显得有点突兀)。
