Which school did you graduate from? That’s a question wherever you go you will always be asked, and also a question needed to answer in your personal files.

Why do people care so much about those schools we studied in? It’s like a price tag we will never get rid off. And yes, it does have lots of impacts on our life. When you want to find a decent job or apply for a graduate school, it’s kind of a determining factor. Is it fair to judge a person so easily just from his or her educational background? Absolutely not. It’s no better than judging people from their appearances. In fact, even the opportunities of us getting into university are not fair.

Think about our study life, from kindergarten to university, all of us want to be admitted into the best school as possible as we and our parents can. It’s like a battle over extremely limited opportunities for better education. Instead of arms, we use money and guanxi, and of course, our grades. And, sorry for kids of remote rural areas, they don’t even have the chance to participate in this battle. Lack of teachers and equipments makes it harder for them to compete with urban students.

The inequality is not just between cities and countryside. It also exists among provinces, cities, countryside or even schools in the same district. For instance, every year, Nanjing Foreign Languages School has the right to recommend 280 students to top universities in China, 3 or 4 times other high schools. The school where I come from only has 50! Another example, Fudan University admits 810 Shanghai local students out of 50,000 students who take the college entrance exam, while in Jiangsu, the number is 61 out of 500,000. How fair does that sound? Although we hate it, but we have to admit it is our education system.

In my opinion, there are two main causes—economy and local protection. Economy, always a primary reason, determines everything. When eating and working become priorities, education will back down and the quality of it will surely have no guarantees. The disparity of economy directly leads to the disparity of education. As to local protection, I don’t know, it involves too many things, maybe politics or even morality.

1.The first paragraph should give us the theme, but I think it isn't clear for the theme.
2.The second paragraph answers this question"Why do people care so much about those schools we studied in?" I think it is clear. And in this paragraph, there are some questions and every question was answered.
3."all of us want to be admitted into the best school as possible as we and our parents can." I think in this sentence,"we" should change to"us".
4.The forth paragraph is in detail. There are some examples. These can make us understand it clearly.
5.The last paragraph is the conclusion. I think it should be clearer.
It is my opinion, Very Happy Thank you!
